I know everyone is feeling the pinch on buying powder, primers and such.
Are you able to get what you need?
Or is everything on backorder? [Such is the case we are finding]
I am looking for Varget powder and large rifle primers.
If you do have a reliable outlet, please share!
Or send a PM.
Thanks! _________________ Camp "Wack-a-Moose" 2009 |

I always buy powder and primers local to stay away from the HazMat fees... Ya might try MidWay USA, Mid South Shooters Supply, Natchez Shooters Supply... I buy some junk from um and haven't had any porblems... I have had problems with Cabela's but it was with the shipping carrier... Cabela's would ship the bullets but when it got here all that was left was a descreatly opend and closed empty box... Changed shipping carriers and that problem was solved.... Needless to say I don't have anything shipped USPS anymore.... _________________

Hows it going with finding your reloading supplies? It has gotten much better here. I actually found small rifle primers on the shelf at a gun store. Every where i have been has had a good amount of powder and bullets. I have seen varget at a couple of stores. Elk River Guns in Steamboat and the Wal;Mart in Steamboat as well.

Cabela's is getting better, they have powder and primers the other day...lol just not the powder i wanted... I like IMR 4350 but they haven't had in in a year so I switched to r19 and r22 they have it most days.......the primers on the other hand that has been hit or miss. but remington seems to be hitting the shelf faster then other others like winchester and cci. _________________ Get'em Duck |

Two days a go I found 2 cases of of federal 215 primers on a shelf for the standard price. I laid claim to one case.
In my locale, primers are the toughest to find, with all other components being somewhat available. Some specific bullets are hard to get than others lately.
Another note is while loaded ammunition remains premium priced, quantities appear to be an all time low and variety is very limited. I went looking for 6.5x55 SE for a DCM match and couldn't find any on any shelf. I realize it is uncommon, but between 3 Ganders, 2 cabelas, 2 fleet farms, and a handful of other gun/sports stores, you'd think their would be one box somewhere. |

My local Cabela's has been keeping their shelves stock for the last month or two. Hopefully the big pinch is over. I noticed prices went up a little, 36.00 FOR A 1,000 large rifle magnums and 34.00 for a 1,000 large rifle.
I stocked up the best I could afford when the shortage started, so I hope to be good for a while.
Same with powder. _________________ Get'em Duck |
